Raised between the cultural warmth of Kelantan and the fast pace of Kuala Lumpur, Yap Wen Wei grew up grounded in resilience and diversity. Her path, however, wasn't without struggle. Facing self-doubt and societal pressures early in her pageantry journey, she chose to push past fear, turning uncertainty into quiet strength. Now, as Miss International Malaysia 2026, Wen Wei sees her crown as a platform for purpose. For her, true beauty isn't defined by labels or stages, but by impact. Her mission is to empower young people—especially young girls—to break free from limiting beliefs, proving that no matter your background, your dreams are always within reach.
